Pandemic Influenza-All Hazards Planning

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) provides resources below for schools and districts making emergency plans in case of a worldwide outbreak (pandemic) of avian influenza, or "bird flu." Our schools present unique situations that require unique resources.

MDE also works with other state agencies to plan for its own operations in the event of an avian influenza pandemic. Find resources for planning for and dealing with pandemic influenza at www.birdflu.state.mn.us.

The All Hazards planning framework, a universal planning and response process, helps schools, agencies, businesses and emergency services to work with each other effectively and efficiently in any and all emergencies. The Minnesota Departments of Public Safety and Health have developed CodeReady, a statewide emergency preparedness campaign, to assist Minnesota citizens to plan and prepare for potential emergencies.
