The Minnesota Department of Education is committed to improving the high school experience and raising the academic achievement of students. There is a large body of information and research on the need for high school improvement and strategies such as adolescent literacy, data-driven decision making and transition programs from one grade to the next or from high school to postsecondary. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) resources are also available.

Resources are listed below by topic. Some resources focus on a single strategy while others explore the issue in greater depth. Download or print any of the pages you find useful. These pages are updated frequently, and we will list the most recent date for each link.
