Volunteer Grant Reviewers Needed
Program Accountability and Improvement (PAI) seeks the public’s help in creating a fair process for reviewing grant applications. We are currently recruiting volunteers with past grant review experience and/or program-specific knowledge. Participation on a grant review team offers participants a unique and significant role in the decision-making process. Time commitment and level of expertise required varies with each grant opportunity. Reviewers will be reimbursed for travel. In general, reviewers must have the ability to effectively review or evaluate grant applications against specific criteria; constructively analyze grants for their strengths and weakness; and clearly express ideas in review discussions, as well as in writing.

Individuals with education and/or experience representing a variety of fields may be eligible to review grant applications. Some of theses areas include, but are not limited to: parent involvement; special education; school choice; academic standard; school improvement; early learning service; assessment and testing, etc.
