School districts build, maintain, and renovate facilities to provide surroundings conducive to the education process. In the past 50 years, education has changed and school facilities have also changed to provide for new technology requirements, additional space for early childhood and other community-based partnership programs, and state-of-the-art science laboratories. School districts may reorganize in several manners to provide the best educational services to students in a way that maximizes state, local and federal district revenues and use of district facilities.

Below you will find information on Health and Safety.  Districts may view the current Health and Safety annual letter, which contains additional information and describes categories of work which are eligible for funding under the Health and Safety Program.

Also, below you can find the Review and Comments that provide information which districts must provide to the Commissioner of Education prior to the initiation of building projects over $500,000 in cost.
