The state Student ID Repository is a secure web-based system designed to obtain MARSS Student ID numbers. In order for district personnel to utilize the Student ID Repository, the superintendent will need to sign a District Authorization form. In addition, each person the district identifies as an authorized user must fill out an Authorized User Information form and a User Authorization Agreement form; these forms require the user’s and superintendent’s signature. Therefore, these forms, with original signatures, must be mailed into the department prior to obtaining access.

Note: The repository is to be used when all other regular means of obtaining the student’s ID number, such as communication between districts, have been unsuccessful. Information other than MARSS Student ID numbers, such as transcript information and health records, should be obtained through your district’s established procedures.

State Student ID Repository Password Policy –All state Student ID Repository data stored on the department network are protected through reasonable and appropriate use of password security. Users who violate this policy will be held responsible for a breach of security and any impact this may have on the integrity of data or performance of the MDE network.
