School Enrollment

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) develops two reports on student enrollment at the school level for each year: one by grade, ethnicity and gender and the second by special populations (limited English proficiency/English language learners, special education students and students receiving free or reduced price meals). The Enrollment-School--Special Populations file includes columns for total student enrollment K-12 and PreK-12. The section archive link to the left contains data files for previous years.

Data by special population is not available for years prior to 1997-1998.

A description file is also provided containing a definition of each data element and notes on origin and use of the data.
