The Minnesota model for teacher development and evaluation was developed by a group of educators who consulted with the commissioner in 2011. This model was piloted in 18 school districts in the 2013-2014 school year.
The state model for teacher development and evaluation is an example process for Minnesota districts and charters to use to in their development of local plans. In the event a local district and the exclusive representative of teachers do not reach joint agreement on a local plan, this model must be used.
Pilot documents and study reports will be included on this page, along with any revisions to the state model.
