The Minnesota Department of Education provides resources and information for educators who serve English Learners (EL) in the classroom. A counselor's handbook is also provided.

Minnesota English as a Second Language (ESL), Bilingual and Migrant Education Conference 2013
The 2013 conference is May 2-3, 2013, at the St. Paul RiverCentre and will feature more than 50 sessions highlighting issues in EL education. Exhibitors will be on hand to showcase the latest in materials and resources. All educators and administrators working with ESL, bilingual, or migrant students are encouraged to attend. Visit the conference website to register.

  This counselors handbook provides information about scheduling, placement, graduation and career pathways for secondary refugee students. Made available through the Refugee School Impact grant.
• Quality Indicators for ESL Programs 
  For use by schools or districts to improve ESL programming.
• English Learner Program Models 
  ESL and Bilingual Education program models for English Learners are defined and assessed for effectiveness.
