RESOURCES FOR CLOCK HOUR OPPORTUNITIES

Note: It is the responsibility of an individual teacher to find appropriate clock hour opportunities. The Minnesota Board of Teaching and the Minnesota Department of Education do not pre-approve clock hour opportunities. The following resources are intended to help individuals find opportunities; however, it is ultimately up to the discretion of the local continuing education committee to approve any clock hour submissions.

The mandatory requirements currently in rule are:

  • Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies
  • Accommodation, Modification and Adaptation of Curriculum, Materials and Instruction – Note: Typically, clock hour opportunities that relate to differentiated instruction will satisfy this requirement.
  • Key Warning Signs for Early-Onset Mental Illness in Children and Adolescents
  • Reading Preparation
  • Technology
  • Reflective Statement of Professional Accomplishment and Assessment of
  • Professional Growth
