Special Schools for the Gifted Network
A network is in place for school leadership team members from districts that have special schools for the gifted or are exploring the possibility of creating one. Special schools for the gifted include School-within-a-School models and magnet schools. Four meetings provide the opportunity for leaders to discuss their roles and the use of best practices on a variety of issues.

The network will meet at Minnesota Department of Education, Conference Center B, Room CC 16 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on the following dates:

  • October 11, 2013
  • November 15, 2013
  • January 24, 2014
  • February 21, 2014

There is no cost but registration is required.  Visit the MDE calendar and search by date or title to register for network meetings.
