SUBJECT: Clarification on “Grace Periods”
This clarification replaces the September 9, 2005 message on the subject of “No Grace Period.”
This clarifies that the practice of allowing “grace periods” from meeting menu review or other CACCFP requirements to providers is not supported by CACFP regulations or policy. Sponsors that have offered grace periods must revise procedures and educate new providers so that no grace periods are in effect after December 2005 provider claims.
