Seamless Summer Program

Seamless Summer Program

The Seamless Summer Option, authorized by the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004, is available to schools participating in School Nutrition Programs (SNP). This option streamlines the administrative and monitoring requirements for schools operating a summer meal program for children within their community. Schools may follow the regular school meal requirements for “seamless summer” sites. All eligible meals at these sites are claimed at the free meal rate of reimbursement.

Information on this page includes program eligibility and participation requirements, training materials, and application / monitoring forms.
