Alcohol, Tobacco Other Drugs-Violence (ATOD-V)
Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs are topics directly linked to a comprehensive k-12 health education program as well as a component of the school requirements specified in the federal, NCLB Title IV - Safe and Drug Free School program. Research supports teaching youth skills that will help them abstain from using drugs, pre-K through college. Decreased use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs is directly related to:
- An increase in attendance
- An increase in academic achievement
- A greater connection to school and family
