Grant Opportunities
Special Education Policy Division Programs fund projects which address high priority areas that relate to the educational outcomes of students with disabilities. Funding also provides for training of both educators and parents of students with disabilities. Grants are funded primarily by the United States Department of Education.
A request for proposal does not obligate the state to award a grant contract. Terms of the contract are spelled out in the grant proposal.
Below you will find current grant opportunities. To the left, you may view previous grant opportunities as well as a list of grantees that have been awarded grants.

Important Grant Information Update:
The Minnesota Department of Education is pleased to announce the launch of a new Grants Management System. The system will provide a streamlined process for grant applicants to search for and download grant opportunities in a dedicated location. During the transition process, existing, open grant applications will continue to be located within the relevant program site location, although supporting materials and resources, including frequently asked questions, will be available only from the grants information page. To view the latest grants and information, please link to the new Grants Information page.
