Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 126C.40, Subdivision 1, a district may request permission to make an additional (property tax) levy to fund the cost of leasing a building and/or land. Levy authority has been granted to provide revenue for leasing space for Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and Community Education Programs. The lease levy applications are completed in the summer on the Minnesota Department of Education’s (MDE) levy information system. Contact the district’s business office for more information or Bill Kiesow or 651-582-8801.
