Evidence of Competency Grids

Evidence of Competency Grids list all of the standards required for licensure in a specific content area. The Evidence of Competency Grids is used to direct portfolio reviewers to evidence for each standard. The applicant must complete the Evidence of Competency Grid, and include a hardcopy under the third tab/section of the portfolio. A template for each available license is listed below.

Individuals seeking an initial Minnesota Teaching license must successfully complete both a Standards of Effective Practice and Content/Subject Matter portfolio. 

Individuals holding a current Minnesota teaching license seeking to add licensure in an additional subject area or expand the content area and/or age/grade level of a license, will need to successfully complete a Content/Subject Matter portfolio.
