Limited, Substitute and Intern License Renewal
A limited license must not be granted if a teacher who holds a full and valid teaching license is available to fill the position. Limited licenses are issued after a superintendent of schools certifies that the district has been unable to find a fully licensed teacher for the position.
Limited licenses are issued for one school year, or a portion of a school year from the date of application to the following June 30. After July 1 in the year of expiration, a license to teach that is not renewed will expire and no longer be valid for teaching.
