Description: Geospatial technologies are one of the three fastest growing technology fields (Source: U.S. Department of Labor). To introduce students to the geospatial tools and skills that will be required for many high-demand jobs of the future, Minnesota has negotiated a statewide license for Esri Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. The software is available to all K-12 schools, public and private, and non-formal educational organizations and programs in Minnesota at no cost.
This FREE three-hour workshop will cover basic GIS and an introduction to ArcGIS Online and how to utilize its resources to develop effective maps for teacher and student. Presentation, data and hands-on exercises are included.
