Gifted and Talented Advisory Council
The Gifted and Talented Advisory Council is comprised of representatives of stakeholder groups with interest and expertise in gifted and talented education. The council provides valuable guidance and feedback to the department on socio emotional, and the instructional needs of highly able learners.
Council meetings are open to the public at the Minnesota Department of Education, 1500 Highway 36 West, Roseville, Minnesota, in Conference Center A, Room CC 3 & 4, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. During the 2013-2014 school year the council will meet on the following dates:

Full-Day Kindergarten Implementation Seminar
Register now for Transformational Full-Day Kindergarten Teachers: Motivating the Learner in EVERY Child. The Minnesota Department of Education is hosting a seminar on October 21, 2014, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Districts and charter schools are invited to learn effective practices for full-day kindergarten implementation, with a special emphasis on working with culturally and linguistically diverse students and students in poverty.
