SAINT PAUL – This Friday, Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius will take part in one of Minnesota’s favorite pastimes by attending the Class A Minnesota State High School League’s Girl’s Hockey Semi-Final game between South Saint Paul and Warroad High Schools. Commissioner Cassellius will join South Saint Paul Superintendent Dave Webb and Warroad Superintendent Craig Oftedahl for the game, and has pledged to remain impartial toward both teams.
An avid hockey fan and power forward, Commissioner Cassellius currently plays in the Women’s Hockey Association of Minnesota League for the team Penalty Box.

New Employment Outcomes Tool!
A new data tool that students can use to determine which fields have the best opportunities for jobs and wages from various programs of study was unveiled recently by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The tool will give students a clearer picture of the Minnesota labor market and what fields of study offer favorable career opportunities,” said DEED Commissioner Katie Clark Sieben. “At the same time, planners can use the tool to develop training and educational programs that fit employer needs.
