Commissioner’s Monthly Dialogue with Superintendents – Wednesday, March 21

The next audio conference call with Commissioner Cassellius is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 9:30-10:30. Jennifer Dugan, director of Student Testing and Assessment, will be present to provide a preview of next year’s testing window.

As a reminder, the conference call schedule through June 2012 is as follows:

- Wednesday, March 21, 9:30-10:30
- Wednesday, April 18, 9:30-10:30
- Wednesday, May 16, 9:30-10:30
- Wednesday, June 20, 9:30-10:30

The Commissioner encourages you to make time on your schedule to participate in these valuable, informative conference calls. She is happy to answer questions and hear your comments and concerns. Call-in instructions will be sent to you next week prior to Wednesday’s conference call.

ACTION ITEM

Online Staff Development Reporting Site for 2011-12 Data Entry is Now Open

See the attached memorandum from Steve Dibb, director of School Support Division, and Deborah Luedtke, supervisor, regarding the above-mentioned matter. School districts are required to report staff development activities and expenditures for both their district and school sites. This report is due by October 15 of each year. View the Online Staff Development Report site and FAQ document. Please distribute this information to your principals, curriculum and staff development personnel.

Minnesota Board of Teaching Licensure Action

The Minnesota Board of Teaching has taken the following licensure action:

Bischoff, James (FF# 465522). On March 9, 2012, the Board of Teaching adopted an Order denying the licensing application of Mr. Bischoff.
