Forms and Resources Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs give students the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills to real-world situations in various occupational areas. The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) provides resources for these programs and has made them available on this page.

The CTE Framework provides tools for determining how national and industry standards align with goals and curriculum in Career and Technical Education programs. Program-related forms include program approvals and an application for funds. Other resources are specific to districts, programs, and/or courses and were developed with the help of content-area teachers from throughout Minnesota. These include fact sheets, manuals on specific topics, and more.

MDE has developed an informative brochure about dual enrollment that helps high school students plan for postsecondary education. School districts and counseling offices may wish to download the My Choices-Dual Enrollment information brochure below.

Information from the Minnesota Association of Career and Technical Education (MnACTE) is now available by using the link at left. Copies of the MnACTE Viewpoint newsletter and more are available on their site.
