MTAS Technical Reports

The Minnesota Department of Education provides technical reports on the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills (MTAS) when available.  These reports address topics such as the development of the test, the test’s various psychometric properties, and a summary of the performance of the Minnesota students who took the test.  Researchers and district assessment coordinators are the typical audience for these reports.

Summary test data for schools and districts is located in the Data Downloads section of the MDE website.  Information about the development and measurement characteristics of Minnesota's state-mandated assessments can be found in the Technical Manual for Minnesota Assessments, which is found the MCA-II Technical Report section of the MDE website.
