Student DisciplineAccountability Programs :
Student Discipline
The Pupil Fair Dismissal Act sets out the procedures for districts to follow when suspending or expelling/excluding a student from school. A legal resource list, an expulsion reporting form, and annual expulsion summary reports can be viewed by clicking on the words “Expulsion/Exclusion” on the left.
The Disciplinary Incident Reporting System (DIRS) is on line. This reporting system replaces the Dangerous Weapons/Disciplinary Incident (DW/DI) report for suspensions and expulsions and is also the method for reporting the number and location of locked timeout rooms.
